The new camper wrap and art looks amazing!! Way to really make your camper your own and turn it into something badass! Where did you have that done?
I've been following your build as I await my own AMB tremor and camper through these long wait times.
How's that license plate reverse cam been...
The mechanical components should be entirely compatible. I'm also awaiting my 2022MY and starting to stock up. Be wary about items that link with Sync. An earlier post mentioned the interface to turn the 360 cameras on while driving. If you're going with a trim above the Lariat - which will...
I wouldn't sweat it too much. Road Armor usually has 2-3 45%+ discounts throughout the year. They had two 50% off periods last year - but I know their pricing went up a bit in March due to increasing steel prices. They'll usually do another sale around Labor Day.
Also their customer service is...
Thanks Soulezoo. I had (mistakenly) assumed Ford put a beefier stabilizer in the Tremors. This is very valuable insight since I have almost zero wheel time in a Tremor and my 2022MY is months out.
Great feedback! Glad to hear the stabilizer provided some very noticeable, instant benefits on a...
I'm debating getting in on the group buy - however I'm not planning on lifting my truck nor running larger tires in the short term. I'm hoping to wear through the stock Duratracs before upgrading tires and possibly suspension - though I don't have my Tremor yet to confirm off road feel.
Can...
Does anyone know of a good source for buying bulk winch rope? I'm in need of 100-200 feet of 12-strand Dyneema rope - likely 7/16" or possibly 3/8" depending on minimum break strength. I used to purchase bulk rope from a sailing warehouse but I went to order and it appears they've gone out of...
Personally, I avoid Amazon at all costs. I find Amazon's business model to be unethical. Despite being very excited by Jeff Bezos' take on overhauling stale business segments (pre 2008) I've since turned to despise most everything that's come out of his mouth in the last 10 years.
I do use...
Agreed. Great color choice! I have the same combo on order - antimatter blue with tan interior. I'm psyched!
Please post some pics when the new beast finally shows up!
It's not tan and black. That was how Ford introduced Baja Tan on the F150. On the Super Duty it will be a solid color. It's basically the same as the Camel Tan interior on the earlier Lariats except a bit darker. I really like that Ford chose to make the parts that get dirty easily black (seat...
I saved a post that includes pictures for installing in engine bay on 7.3: https://www.fordtremor.com/threads/diy-install-arb-twin-air-compressor-in-engine-compartment-7-3l-w-dual-battery.4157/
There are a handful of threads including bed mount pics as well. I plan to move mine under hood when...
If you look under the hood on your 2022 and still have a light you'd know it was one of these sitting idly in KY.. Ford removed the under hood light for the 2022MY.
They have photos and videos of the Atlas Blue Super Duty in the 2022MY promo material from Ford. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a35765148/2022-ford-super-duty-updates-revealed/ . There are some videos on youtube as well.
I also love blue jeans. Opted for antimatter over atlas blue myself...
I personally opt for a 12 ton jack (have attached camper) and a 1 foot square wood base. 6 ton will work, especially for just truck, but if you go a little larger it will be much easier when it comes time to use it. Plenty of 8 ton to 12 ton jacks out there for <$60.
I'm loving mine so far. GearAmerica has a 10% discount - cheaper than Amazon. The little rubber washers (come with) and covers are great if you're planning to leave on your bumper full time. Only concern, they're a little thicker than your standard 4.75T shackle so it might be helpful to also...
D-ring shackles are pretty consistently reliable and cheap so long as they're rated. Make sure it is a rated product (all recovery equipment should be) and not some spray painted piece of generic metal. I know some groups like 7P only use Columbus McKinnon shackles - but really I've never gone...
