I am really curious what other issues you had with the 7.3 my platinum was purchased February 20 and have close to 27k miles and have had zero issue's but I also know there's a random lemon.
The beauty of air bags in an f250 is you can get the perfect level inflation for your load and air down when empty and have a less jarring ride than a 350.
Glad to hear it all worked out, after I dropped 10psi out of the tires it made a huge difference and we have no complaints. Our truck is actually my wife's and we sold her 2010 raptor screw that we bought new and we both are more satisfied with the tremor over the raptor which was an awesome...
Wow I would guess you got a lemon which happens with any manufacturer ,my 7.3 tremor platinum f250 has almost 5k miles on it and has not had a single issue with it,we love it. I feel for ya! I would hit Ford with the old lemon law gig and see what happens.
I changed my 7.3 break in oil at 2500 miles it was full according to the dipstick and the oil came out clean looking and yes the factory filter was tight.
It must be a weighted foot issue I used to have a 2011 first gen ecoboost f150 crew cab 6.5 bed 3.55 gears and would see 17.0 up to 21.5 hwy mpg empty but I know once you get past 65 mph it gets bad.
I saw a cutaway years ago with different oil filters and it was eye opening I used to use fram filters but I won't touch them now especially the air filters that come apart. Motorcraft oil filters were very well made and they are inexpensive. I am sure you could find great quality with the more...
The oil filter is the same motorcraft fl820s that has been a mainstay for years and you can get at any parts store or Wal-Mart. I would not use anything else.
Idk where you're at saddleup but there is a nice blue 7.3 tremor xlt in Delta,Colorado at the Ford dealership that's been there for at least a month now, don't know if it's 250 or 350.
