Who has a 7.3 and experienced the "misfire" plug wire concern or not please leave feedback

I have experienced my first Firecore failure on cylinder #2 of my 7.3 gasser. I installed the Firecore wires in July once we had towed across the country, limping in to my parent's driveway with a mix of Massive and OEM wires (the Massive wires are complete shit, melted on the first few hours...

    7.3L Firecore spark plug wires?

Similar to @RickyCRX I have experienced my first Firecore failure on cylinder #2 of my 7.3 gasser. I installed the Firecore wires in July once we had towed across the country, limping in to my parent's driveway with a mix of Massive and OEM wires (the Massive wires are complete shit, melted on...

What octane of fuel do you run with the 7.3l?

Last summer I towed our 10k travel trailer from Washington state to Cape Cod, down to the Maryland shore, back out to Yellowstone NP, and back to Washington. 8000 miles in 6 weeks. Along the way I experimented with all sorts of fuel. 87 ethanol, 92 ethanol, 91 non-ethanol, 87 non-ethanol...

F350 towing 38,000 pounds kills two

I have a 3-axle trailer that is rated to carry 15600 lbs. A 5-axle trailer with F-rated tires might be rated for, what, 30k? That boat doesn't look like its 38,000 lbs. Maybe weight of everything, boat trailer and truck and cargo was 38k.

Anybody putting their truck to work this weekend?

This dead tree is surrounded by blackberry and I don't have a chainsaw big enough, but I hear ya.

Anybody putting their truck to work this weekend?

I need to pull down a dead tree before I build a 12x16 shed. Been thinking of getting a rope and snatch block around a neighboring tree, and hooking it to the rear hitch. 4WL should take care of it pretty quickly.

Best LED bulb upgrade for halogen headlights

I am also looking for a LED bulb for my halogen headlights. BTW, Stage 3 Motorsports has 15% off Diode Dynamics lights right now. I just ordered SS3 Pro Fog Lights and a pair of SS3 Pro Floods to mount as ditch lights. Diode Dynamics also has 15% off but they were charging a lot for shipping...

    Jayco Eagle

I see you posted over a month ago, but I just saw this thread. We drove 8000 miles on our summer trip this year. Plus another 1500 miles on other trips around the Pacific Northwest. No major issues with our Jayco Eagle HT 264 BHOK. We're parking it up in the mountains this winter and using it...

    Winter tires

IME the duratracs do well in deeper snow, but icy roads not so much. Cooper makes the "Snow Claw" studdable tire. I ran these without studs on my F150 when I lived in Hood River, Oregon and was driving up to Mount Hood several times per week. They did well. Biggest size they're showing is a...

What's needed to revert to "normal" F350 suspension?

Going across the country with a 10k travel trailer I averaged 8mpg going 65mph. Non-towing mpg is 14.3 to 15.

What's needed to revert to "normal" F350 suspension?

Regular F350 or Tremor, won't matter much. Hellwig 7320 is the sway bar you want. I installed one and it made a difference when towing my 15k boat/trailer package. Install some AirLift bags along with the Hellwig sway bar and you'll be fine. I towed our 10k travel trailer 8000 miles this...

    2021 Hunting thread!

Nice! Is that a CVA? I have an Optima, works well. I'm hunting late season muzzleloader in western Washington. Fingers crossed!

    325/65/18 on stock Tremor wheels

You're right, that is an important consideration. The 305/70r18 are 126 load rated, which is 3750 lbs per tire. My method wheels are rated for 3620, and the axle is only rated for 6500ish lbs, so the 126 tires are fine. Stock are 129. There are lots of 35x12.5r18 that are 118 which is too light...

    325/65/18 on stock Tremor wheels

Those look great.... definitely on my short list. I have the same wheels and was wondering what the 305/70r18 looked like on them. Thanks for posting and let us know how they do in cold wet/snow.

    Winter tire options

KO2 is nice for the first 10k then they get loud. Grip is decent but the Falkens are a better snow tire in my experience.

    Winter tire options

I run them year round. They have a special silica that helps grip in colder wet conditions but they still wear well. If I were looking for a specific winter setup, I would go for something more snow-oriented, but the Falkens have the Snowpeak symbol and grip better than BFG A/T's or Duratracs...
