I recently took delivery of my 2022 F250 Tremor. I’ve read a lot on here about tire pressure but I have a question that I haven’t seen talked about (probably just missed it).

My door sticker shows 60 front 70 back

But my cousins 2021 F250 Tremor is different
His door sticker shows 60 front 80 back

Why are there differences between the 2 model years for the rear pressure. (Both trucks are 7.3’s)

Are all you guys with 22’s the same as mine and are all the 21’s the same as his?

I'll throw in another data point that is even different to muddy the waters further lol.

My '22 F350 6.7L Tremor states 60 psi front and 75 psi rear. Lariat Ultimate with no sunroof. Has factory 5th wheel prep and spray in bedliner.

My truck info is in my signature and here is a picture of what my cousins 21 tremor is equipped with.

It's been noted in a thread or two that the difference exists between model years, and it is funky.

My best guess is Ford is tweaking year to year to strike the balance for ride quality, fuel economy, and handling. Particularly since the Tremor tires are capable of handling the maximum rear GAWR all the way down to something like 50 PSI (that's not the exact number; I don't feel like looking it up right now).

Could it have something to do with the Duratracs losing the mountain snowflake rating?

Mine is a 2020 F250 and the sticker also recommends 80psi. I only run that while towing though.

I believe other non-Tremors are still 80psi (long bed, etc). I believe @SomethingRandom has a '22 non-Tremor and could verify or correct my statement...

22 F-350 - 6.7- fully loaded Lariat (everything except AS, including winch) - stickers shows 60 - 75 - note the difference between my truck and Bronco Hooves is the weight of the sunroof (I have it, he does not) - I wish I had left the sunroof off - I never use it and it is lot of weight - high up and lost load. Not to metion if you ever go over - it will be one big mess of glass!

I run 50 back and 60 front. Hot readings with no load. Good ride and tire wear for me. Did same on my last SD

Did you turn your tire monitor system down with FORScan? Mine lit up on the dash at below 55psi

Not yet. Doesn’t bother me that much yet lol

That stuff drives me nuts. It’s on my dashboard and on my Ford Pass App….

I had mine re-set with Forscan down to 40 PSI - no warning lights except offroad when I may air down I ran the Duratracs at same pressures 50/55 hot - 45/50 cold. to 25 PSI.

I ran the Duratracs at 50/55 hot - 45/50 cold. I am now running Toyo AT III 37x12.5x18 tires - they are "max" load at 65 PSI vs the OEM Duratracs at max load at 80 PSI. I run them 45/50 cold and they pop up to 50/55 or a few PSI higher. Seems to work well.

When I tow I went to 55 / 65 cold with Duratracs and now 50/55 cold with current Toyos' - picked up 5-6 lbs in front and 8-10 in rear under load - (1,400 lbs of tongue weight). So with OEM Duratracs I was close to door recommended 75 PSI and with Toyo's I am near the tires max 65 PSI.

I think it’s crazy that they have only a 5psi window before the warning comes on when these tires move a good 4-6psi from cold to hot.

My sticker says 60/70. 22MY

‘22 F-350 CCLB 6.7. Recommended rear pressure is 75psi, front 65psi (iirc). I can grab a picture of my door jam sticker later if folks want it. I changed the TPMS settings to 60/65 iirc. I air up if I’m going to have a decent load on.

My 21 Tremor was 60 and 80 with snowflake symbol, 22 Tremor is 60 and 75 no snowflake. Both 350 7.3 spec’d almost the same.

The one ton f350 has a tire load rating of E, what load rating are your tires? That matters on pressure, forget about hot tire pressure, the pressures are for a cold tire! But it’s your truck talk yourself into whatever makes you comfortable!
