Ranger Tremor
So, I will preface this build first by saying that I have no need of this truck, its capabilities, or the Tremor package itself. I WANTED this truck, so that's why I have it. It's as if I'm living a boyhood dream of having some big monster truck and I just wanted to finally have it come to life. No rhyme or reason other than that. I have, however, started looking into things I can now do with this truck and its capabilities, but time will tell.
I picked up the truck last night, and man, was I blown away! I have never seen or test driven a super duty truck, let alone a Tremor. I was driving a 2019 F-150 FX4, and wanted to get a new vehicle (I purchase through my business, so it was just time to upgrade the write-offs). I was considering the hybrid, and built one online. Curiosity got the better of me, and I then built out an F-250, and, of course, then an F-350. Decided to order the F-350 diesel tremor.
Here is the original build:
2022 F-350 6.7L Platinum Tremor - Star White
Moonroof
397 Amp Alternator
Upfitter Switches
Supplemental Cab Heater
5th Wheel Prep
PTO Option
Vinyl Flooring

Original order was placed 6/8. As an experiment, ordered again on 9/4. The second order got a VIN 9/16, was built 11/8, and I took delivery on 11/29.

I had no intentions of any after-market modification at all - zero, zilch, nada. And then I found this wonderful Ford Tremor Forum, and now, I hate you all! HAHA! I have plans to do some cosmetic things, some engine upgrades (all emission compliant, mostly quality and airflow stuff), some suspension items, and then some random utility stuff I have never needed, but now, for some reason, feel I must have! Pretty much all the upgrades I document on here have been taken from this forum, with maybe a few personal tweaks. I won't be documenting any "how-to" type posts, only because I learned it all on here anyway. No need to rehash the info. Part numbers/links if applicable will be at the end of my posts.

Here she is!! Her first sunrise!

Personally, I like a bit of chrome. I am not a fan of the blacked out or sport package looks, at least, in their entirety. I will be doing a mix of some black, some color matching, and leaving some chrome.

My 13yr old son and I worked till about 10:30pm last night, headlamps and all, to install some new mirror caps and side lights. Taking off these covers is a pain in the ass honestly. I'm glad I got it done right off the bat. The caps are from an XLT model. I wanted the black plastic to be seamless, and not be different like they are on the blackout models. So it's just plain old black plastic and matches the rest of the mirror body perfectly. I purchased some smoked lense mirror lights from Boost Auto Parts, again, so they would just kind of blend into the mirror. I love how it turned out. The running lights on them are very cool!

@DIY10-85RAY shared a module you could buy and made the front of the light blink when signaling. I bought the smoked lens package, as I wanted the cool white running lights. It has the module built in that allows for signaling, and changes to amber when signaling (switchback it's called on their site). It also has the front spotlight as well. Thanks Ray for that product recommendation!

The other thing we did (not pictured) is installed Bull Ring tie down anchors in all 4 bed stake pockets. They lay flush, but can be pulled up when needed. I had them on my F-150, and loved having them. Installed them last night in about 5 minutes total.

Also installed the 12 volt solutions high idle kit. It took all of 60 seconds to install in the passenger fuse area. It's a one setting module. I didn't want the BD Diesel selectable one and have to install the dial. I set it at 1400rpm and it works perfectly.

Today, she's getting a premium Line-X bedliner sprayed. Tomorrow, XPEL Ceramic XR Plus windows tinting - still deciding on the % of tint. I'll take pics tomorrow once it's done.

Appreciate everyone's help and feedback on this site. It's been a lot of fun.

Looks great! Can't wait to see the progress as it happens...

Of course, the Tremor needed a buddy. Picked this up about 6 weeks ago. Ordered in July, a few weeks after I originally ordered the truck. Diamond C 20ft deck over, GVWR 14,900#, perfect for the Tremor! Opted for just the slide in ramps, vs the other cool options they have. Got lucky and ordered 2 weeks before Diamond C raised their prices about 20%, so was happy about that. One of my dreams is to live off my own land, and we are currently looking for such a setup. That will require a tractor, and a tractor needs a trailer, and a cool truck to pull it. That was part of my dreaming related to both those purchases. Hopefully over the next year, I'll have a cool tractor to put on it. In the meantime, I dream of Kubota M5s and rolling pastures.......

I guess we wont see you much longer on the 2022 production thread😂

Big congrats!
True! Although, I guess we all have to eventually graduate from that thread. I've had a permagrin since Sunday, when I got to at least see her sitting in the lot awaiting PDI. It's so fun to drive! Everyone saying, it really is worth the wait! They were right!

Congrats! Looking forward to this build, and love the matte black mirror caps!

Awesome trailer. Can I borrow it some time? 😂

Installed the small panel in the center console. Note to self, the smaller openings around the edges are NOT big enough for the included screws. I learned this AFTER I had already marked and drilled my holes. I was able to widen the gap and make it work. Glad it worked out, I was worried a bit. Love this addition.

Also installed the rear release kit tonight (I plan on doing some audio stuff eventually so figured might as well put this in now). Install was easy. @Jericho - I closed it right the first time! Then, reached back to see where the release strap was, pulled up a bit on it to have it reachable, and it released again. So I thought, hey, no problem, closed it easy the first time. Yeah…. Took me 30 damn minutes to close it again, and even when it latched, I’m still not sure what I did right! Haha!

Fun day today - got the window tint done. I used XPEL XR Plus, 70% windshield, 20% fronts, and 55% everywhere else, including the moonroof. I didn’t want the real dark, dark tint on all the windows. The heat blockage is amazing - it’s not summer here in AZ, but sun still shines bright. I could tell a difference already. The installer told me XPEL recommends NOT using windshield sunscreens with windshield tint, as the trapped heat will effect the film. That was enough endorsement for me.

Just dropped her off at SDHQ Offroad for the real fun:

S&B 60 gallon tank
S&B air filter setup
Airbags (will be doing my own air lines and compressor setup later)

And, the big one, 3.5” Carli suspension. I had the pintop ordered, but with the newly announced E-CLIK, I had them downgrade the shocks the 2.0 Fox Commuters, and told them to order the new shocks the minute the are available. Everything else is going on, torsion sway bar, full leaf pack, high/low steering stabilizer, and radius arms.

I went with 18” Black Rhino Axle wheels, and, due to major shortages everywhere, ended up with 37x12.5 Toyo A/T III tires. We missed my scheduled appt date at SDHQ, so they said it should take around 2 weeks, hopefully less, to finish the install. So, no more posting for me till she gets back. Then I will have tons of pics to show what was done. very excited to see that finished!

On a sidenote, related to the truck itself, I did notice the truck was pulling, and to drive straight, I needed to have the steering wheel a bit to the left. I think it’s just an alignment issue, so I wasn’t concerned since it will be realigned by the shop after the install. I did have the “drifting” feeling everyone has mentioned with the tires, but again, wasn’t concerned there either.

Now, how to survive 2 more weeks! Ugh!!

@Vecman Can you share how bright the mirror spotlights are with the smoked lens Boost Auto Parts mirror mod? I'm sure it's not as bright as the OEM clear lens but wanted some kind of honest comparison.

I eventually want to DIY smoke my cab lights as well to avoid the Recon cab light issues.

Dude, when I told my wife this truck had all the upgrades I put on my last truck...I was being truthful. 7 grand later I was a liar.

My advise to all Tremor owners and Forum members.....duck tape your wallet, and prey we don't go into lockdown again........I blew 5 grand in the last one!

Did you use the same model bullring for front and back? Which model(s) did you use. Thanks.

She’s supposed to be back from SDHQ on Monday. I’ll let you know what I think then
