It's time for another FordTremor.com contest! This month we'll be giving away a black 23" x 6" metal street sign that would surely make a great addition to any garage or man cave.

How to win?
Reply to this thread and let us know what your favorite road/trail/path/highway is to conquer with your Tremor. Is it driving through mud, sand, snow? Crawling over rocks? Blasting down the highway? Towing to your favorite camp spot? Be creative!

I'll leave this thread open for 5 days and randomly pick a winner on Saturday, December 4th.

I have enjoyed ever road that I have taken this truck on thus far. No off road yet but excited to take it up to the UP of Michigan soon and hit some back roads. Also planning a camping trip out west for next summer. For now, highways and the work parking lot have been enough to keep the smile on my face.

Neighborhood trails during the Austin ice storm of 2020 were pretty fun too!

I pick up my truck this weekend from Granger so I haven't taken this truck anywhere just yet but when I do have possession of it I guarantee you I will be taking it to Idaho. I grew up there. A small town of 326 when I was a kid, just 22 miles over the hill from Jackson Hole Wyoming. So many roads and places to go but one of my favorite things to do is leave a day early when coming back to Utah and take the long way. (Something I often do, get off the freeway and take back roads and routes) I ride over to Jackson and then down into Freedom Wyoming and take the Tincup route through Tincup Canyon. It is part of Caribou-Targhee National Forest. If you ever want to go Tincup is 20 miles past Wayan, Idaho on SH 34. It is a historic Pioneer Byway ends at the Idaho/Wyoming border one mile north of Freedom, ID/WY. Its is beautiful country with lots of side dirt roads to explore. Bring your camping gear and sleep under the stars for a night. We usually pack tin foil meals and cook them in a wood fire in the canyon off some dirt road. Gander at the stars as we lay in the bed of the truck and get up early and head out again. I suggest you bring your camera, spotting scope and binoculars' as you will likely see moose, deer and tons of birds as it travels through a bird refuge area and multiple sandhill cranes are not uncommon. I suggest it to anyone.

Trips around the deer lease roads enjoying higher ground clearance and utilizing trail control. Places I wouldn’t have taken my stock 1/2 ton.

Work. Seems all I have time for these days...so highway driving. Trying to find stuff near me, but not a lot to choose from in SE Texas.

SR341 from Reno to Virginia City, or SR431 from Reno up to Lake Tahoe. Looking forward to having some weekends off from precision rifle matches so that I can explore some snow trails in the mountains west of Reno with my little brother and his Jeep Gladiator.

My favorite road is going to be the 14 mile long two lane highway that I drive home after picking up my Tremor from the dealership today!

So far Forest Service RD 93 in the Carlson National Forest. 7 miles took little over and hour. You have to cover the 28ish miles on FS rd 87 from county rd 285 to get to it. In those 7 miles we crossed 3 streams, one pushing the tremors limits of 24". Most of the road was a rock garden the other parts were covered in at least 2' pot holes. There are couple great rock covered switch backs as you make your way from 9100' up to 10k', actually had the back tire off the ground a couple times coming back down.
A lot more fun than than 2000 miles of interstate I had to travel to get to the Carlson NF.
Still looking for something better!

Haven't had much of a chance to get Shadowfax on many roads since he's been in the body shop for the last 3+ weeks. If I had to choose a favorite road that I've actually driven him on it would be the Coquihalla highway in BC. Beautiful freeway and my primary road home to family.

As for roads/routes I want to take Shadowfax on, and absolutely will: the WABDR in general, and section 2 in particular. Tons of dirt roads of varying grades, including some technical stuff. Along with absolutely breathtaking views. I've done the route in my F150, just need to take Shadowfax. Also intend to do the other BDR's. I haven't done any others yet.

Picture below is of me and my F150 at a viewpoint along section 2.

For me, it's all roads, all highways, and all trails big or small. Even ones I forced the truck to fit on. I can't choose. I work from home, and I've done so for years now. Therefore, all 23,650 miles I've put on the truck so far are purely for pleasure.

While I don't have my Tremor yet - my favorite road will be the gravel one that I will accidentally find on a day trip or on a vacation. I want to be able to go left or right and know that I have a capable vehicle (within reason) to be able to explore and find new adventure.

While I know it's not a Raptor - I know that I can at least break from the pavement and that is where our family will be headed.

I grew up with that song - "Wolf Creek Pass" -

"Went down and around and around and down
We run outta ground at the edge of town;
Bashed into the side of a feed store
In downtown Pagosa Springs"

Traveling many roads and trails is in my future. Maybe it's California Dreamin along the coast, or maybe Maine! Perhaps Route 66, what's left of it. The possibilities are endless. And what better way to do it than to go in class in a brand new (or old) Tremor. For now, some local roads, heading to my favorite places along the river and in the canyon.

Sadly no truck yet, it is due to arrive Dec 8-14th...but I am really looking forward to the 100 mile trip back from the dealer. Normally it is a very boring stretch of road (up I-5 north to Redding), should be a very enjoyable ride back.
