Does anyone tow a Grand Design 150 series with their Tremor

I put mine on the lowest setting. Works nicely, and I've had no issues. I did upgrade from the 150, to a grand design 311 BHS a few months ago. I've kept the setting on the hitch the same. I have actually removed the insert from the pin box, and still have enough room to turn sharply, and it...

Transmission hard shift, searching for gear

The new transmission has been working flawlessly for the last two weeks. No issues towing my 11,000 lb camper. It's still does some gear searching, which is as everyone knows, a given trait of this 10-speed transmission. But overall, so far so good, and no harsh engagement from park to drive, or...

Transmission hard shift, searching for gear

They put two mechanics on the truck, and were able to get me my truck late last night, to my surprise. I plan on hooking it up to the camper tomorrow, for our upcoming camping trip. I will give an update after the trip. The mechanic who's been working on it, told me to "drive it like I stole...

Transmission hard shift, searching for gear

The repair was attempted first, but the oring kit needed to complete the job was unavailable. They are still on back order as we speak.

Transmission hard shift, searching for gear

I was updated today that the new transmission has finally arrived (79 days)! They will do a QC check on the unit, and inventory all needed parts are present for the install. ETA for completion is this Friday. We will see what comes of the "new" transmission, and how this plays out.

Transmission hard shift, searching for gear

Mine was doing the same, and Ford planned on changing cdf clutch hub, and "rebuild main control", but a simple o-ring kit is on back order , needed to complete the repairs. The truck has 7k miles on it, and has been in pieces at the dealer for 9 weeks. Ford agreed to finally replace the entire...

Does anyone tow a Grand Design 150 series with their Tremor

I agree with CCW. The term "half ton towable" truly is a great marketing slogan, but often does not play out in the real world. In terms of what's safe, and potentially illegal. As mentioned in the previous reply, your payload will likely be your biggest issue. In addition to the shorter bed...

Does anyone tow a Grand Design 150 series with their Tremor

I installed the b&w wedge we were talking about, before my last trip, and it fit very nicely. I had zero issues, and I think it'll work out well moving forward. Definitely a better fit, obviously. However, I had no issues with the universal wedge, and I'll keep it as a backup. It was a simple...

I am considering buying the SWW-06, as it's not that expensive, to compare how it fits compared to the stock universal wedge.

You are correct on the hitch rating, I misquoted. Mine is also 20k, the 3405 I believe is rated at 25k.

I used the wedge that came with the Turning Point pin box. I have had no issues so far.

    Plug wire upgrade

I never had any missing/miss fire with stock, just not the smoothest running. It would take multiple minutes for to idle down to after it sat overnight. With the new wires, it idles down in under a minute. Not earth shattering, but noticeable. As the one gentleman posted, a significant...

    Plug wire upgrade

Installed mine 500 miles ago. I would agree with the others thus far, that it seems to idle smoother, especially when cold. An improvement over stock. I took out the passenger wheel liner too, to make installation easier.

I'm trying to dewinterize the camper, and am try to find the water heater bypass valve. I can clearly see all the lines behind the water heater, and don't see a bypass valve. Is there no bypass valve on this model year? I was hoping you already encountered this. Thanks.

B&W RVK3300. It's rated for 15,000k, the next one up is quite a bit more expensive, and rated for 20,000K. However, the camper is nowhere near that weight. Yes, you are correct, the camper is slightly nose high in the picture. This was my first experience with the truck, the hitch, and the...
