Are you talking about the bolts at the top and bottom of the links, and NOT the bolts that hold the bracket to the frame nor the bracket that holds the bar on the axle? That’s good to know. I would probably just hit up Ace hardware for some grade 8 bolts instead of waiting on Hellwig.

    5th Wheel Hitch

I have an Anderson. I’m really happy with it. Tows great. But if I had it to do all over again, I would have gotten a Reese Goosebox or Gen Y Executive. Just to make it quicker and easier to have an empty bed.

    7.3 gear management when towing

    7.3 gear management when towing

I’ve got about 2,000 miles of towing on the 7.3. Our 5th wheel is 10k lbs and I tow at 65 mph on the interstate. What works best for me is using the gear selector to lock out 9th and 10th. So I cruise in 8th. At the bottom of any hill, I just reach up and bump down to 7th. If I notice I’m losing...

auto lock doors when walking away

No, but just rest your thumb on the black pad on the outside of the door handle. Or press the bottom 2 keypad buttons at the same time.

    dull thumping sound

Just wanted to add this info for the group. I had the dull clunking at low speeds. Replaced shocks with Bilstein 5100's. Better ride, but clunking was still there. It was warm today, so I started pulling things off one at a time to use the process of elimination. Right shock, left shock, spare...

Tremors and Campers let's talk camping!!

Thanks! We work together pretty good. I’ve never asked or needed another camper to help. But a guy came over while we work working on it. And it was a ton of help. He watched my front end while the wife was at the back of the camper. Teamwork and patience.

Tremors and Campers let's talk camping!!

I’ve been pulling campers for 15 years, and have even more time pulling trailers. It took me an hour to get backed in to this site. Blindsided into an almost 90° site, in the dark, with trees at both front corners of the site, and more tree across the road. What a PITA!!! But we had a great...
